Wet Glue Labeling Explained — and Where HiPaks Fits
A wet glue labeling machine — also called a cold glue labeler — uses a rotating glue roller or glue pad to pick up water-based adhesive, transfer it onto a plain paper label, and press the label onto the container. Because the label itself carries no adhesive and no release liner, label stock costs stay low. Wet glue lines are a standard choice for breweries, beverage plants, edible-oil bottles and any line that runs long batches of paper labels on glass.
- Typical applications: beer bottles, returnable glass bottles, jars and cans with paper labels
- Label material: plain paper labels — body, shoulder and neck labels for glass bottles
- Cost profile: lowest per-label cost at high volumes; the glue is applied by the machine, not pre-coated
- Trade-off: glue preparation, roller cleaning and changeover take more operator attention than self-adhesive lines
Honest positioning before you inquire
We currently specialize in self-adhesive and hot melt labeling systems; wet glue models are available on request and confirmed per project [TBC]. If your line runs OPP/BOPP film labels on beer, beverage or mineral water bottles, our hot melt rotary labeler is usually the better fit — and it is a standard HiPaks product.

10,000–15,000 bph on OPP/BOPP roll labels for beer, beverage and mineral water lines. The closest HiPaks alternative to a wet glue line. See the hot melt glue labeling machine series.

From the MT desktop semi-automatic range to T9 inline systems: sticker labeling for short runs, frequent SKUs and ±0.2mm precision.
Wet Glue Specifications & Purchase Terms
Wet glue builds are scoped per project, so machine-level parameters are confirmed after we see your bottle, label and target speed. The commercial terms below are standard across all HiPaks machines.
Lead Time
Semi-automatic machines: 7–10 days. Wet glue and other project-based systems: quoted per project [TBC].
Payment
30% deposit on order. 70% balance paid before shipment, after the labeling-test video is approved.
Incoterms
FOB Shenzhen by default. CIF / DDP / door-to-door available on request for qualified orders.
Custom Engineering Around Your Glue and Your Bottle
Our founder is an engineer with 15 years of labeling-machine experience, and OEM/ODM work is a normal part of production — not a special favor. If a wet glue project is confirmed, the build is engineered around your exact glue chemistry and bottle format.
- Glue roller and glue pad geometry matched to your glue type (cold glue / paste) and glue consumption target
- Press-on and wipe-on mechanisms tuned to your bottle diameter, height and label layout
- Custom jigs and fixtures for tapered, square or odd-shaped containers
- Line integration: conveyor adapters, PLC signal wiring and commissioning support for your filling line
Certifications & Compliance
All HiPaks machines are built to CE standards. Other certificates are confirmed per project; ask our team for the latest documentation.
Factory Strength Behind Every Project
Whether your project ends up wet glue, hot melt or self-adhesive, it is built by the same factory — with the same test discipline on every machine that ships.
50+ Countries, 500+ Factories
HiPaks machines run in 500+ factories across 50+ countries, with strong presence in the US, EU, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Engineer-Founded, 15 Years
Founded by an engineer with 15 years of labeling-machine industry experience. Your project is scoped by engineers, not resold by traders.
SICK & Panasonic Core Parts
SICK photoelectric sensors and Panasonic servo drives on the critical axes — proven reliability on 24/7 production lines.
Real Labeling-Test Videos
Every model has a real labeling-test video. Your machine is tested on your real containers before shipping — you approve the test video and sample first.
